Happy International Pilates Day!

As I move into my 50th year I am more and more grateful for my decision to become a Pilates teacher over 25 years ago. The springs are both my best friends and greatest enemies. 😅😅. Many mahalos to all of my teachers, friends, and students that have been part of my journey. Remember to breathe!

This week's microbiome definition:

SCFAS (SHORT-CHAIN FATTY ACIDS)

Short-chain fatty acids are the primary microbial metabolites produced from fiber fermentation. This include butyrate, acetate, and propionate. Short-chain fatty acids are what determines our health or sickness.

What does that mean for you? Short-chain fatty acids are produced by good bacteria when they eat fibers and polyphenols. You must eat a variety of fibers and polyphenols in order to support a variety of species who produce the short-chain fatty acids in order for you to be healthy!

If you are interested in building a diverse and resilient microbiome to eliminate you pain and build a long and enjoyable life consider investing in yourself and joining me for Upside-Down Nourishment or returning to Upside-Down Nourishment personalized programs, please fill out this form to see if we might be a good fit to work together. Do not let distance stop you! I work with clients all over the world via Zoom!

REMEMBER, self care is health care! If you don't care for yourself you won't be able to care for anyone else.

Have a beautiful day!

Lisa
