The vestibular system is a sensory system in your inner ear that provides our brain with information about motion, head position, and spacial orientation. It helps us keep our balance, stabilize our head and body during movement, and maintain posture. It is crucial to regularly train the vestibular system to help prevent falls as we age. Since most people are sedentary the vestibular system is not activated regularly creating a higher risk of falling.
